The American Psychological Association (APA) and ecoAmerica created the term “chronic anxiety of environmental disaster” to describe eco-anxiety in 2017. A significant study on the influence of ecological catastrophes on mental wellbeing has been conducted over the last decade, and even more indications of this phenomenon have been recorded in the last three years. Pollution, deforestation, flooding, species extinction and inadequate access to food are among the most common causes of eco-anxiety.

5. Take care of yourself – Make time for relaxation and self-care
It’s important to take time for yourself and make sure you’re taking care of your mental and physical health. One way to do this is to make sure you have some downtime every day to relax and unwind. This could be something as simple as reading a book, taking a bath, or going for a walk.
It’s also important to eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. Doing this allows you to handle stress and deal with whatever life throws your way.
